Seville 2017

We are taking a post Christmas break in Seville.  With a lattitude of 36° N it has a warm December temperature of 16-20°C.

We left a very icy UK on 28.12.17 and arrived in Seville to a balmy 16 degrees.

Our hotel The Casas de Arenal is superb in an old part of town and close to the bull ring  ( not like the one in Birmingham)!

Tapas is the specialty here and on our first nright we are in a bar with ex stars of the bull ring.

Next morning we found our feet and explored the Santa Cruz area in the morning and the Cathedral and Giralda in the afternoon.

Today the weather has been warm and sunny.

We started the day at the Golden Tower by the river before making out way to the Real Alcazar  the magnificent Royal Palace. Colin has scrumped enough oranges to make this years batch of marmalade!

Later we headed out to the Plaza Espana  built for 1929 exhibition.

Tired and thirsty we walked back into town for a beer before ending up on the roof terrace of the hotel with a bottle of wine as the sun goes down.
