California 2017 - Day 2 - San Francisco, Golden Gate Bridge
Sunday
Route
The day didn't start well with a blinding headache at around 3.00 literally too painful to rest my head on the pillow but later with some ibuprofen and coffee the pain began to subside.
Breakfast involved dodging the homeless tramps outside and walking 20m to Starbucks next door and free coffee in the lobby.
Today was sunny and warm so we took the hop on hop off bus to the Golden Gate bridge and a ride around Sausilodo.
The bridge was the longest suspension bridge when it was built 80 years ago but is now the 12th longest, we were lucky it wasn't shrouded in fog!
We stopped off in the Golden Gate Park for lunch before heading back to Union Square for a beer and a very interesting chat with a couple from Seattle, before heading back to our room.
Dinner tonight was just a block away in Foley' s Irish bar recommended by Martin.
